in the daytime the sun shines strong
it makes clear what is in front of my face
but its blinding light hides part of the sky
at night the moonlight is soft
i can set my gaze anywhere in that same sky
but then i may let slip my mind what is under my nose
and then there are the clouds
and the winds that move them
because sometimes during the day i have the need to look up
